Volunteer application

Volunteer Training:

Volunteers MUST attend the training video and pass the test prior to starting service hours!
- Monday/Wednesday 6:00pm

-Tuesday/Thursday 11:00am

Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to ensure you do not miss the start of the video. Volunteers that do not pass the test, MUST take the training again.
***All volunteers MUST sign-in and sign-out on the Log Sheet. If you do not sign-out, your hours for the day will not be logged.***

Individual Volunteers:

-Must complete a volunteer training prior to starting service hours.

Group Volunteers:

Contact Malina Alexander to schedule your group activity/event. Please keep in mind that our calendar fills up quickly, so call as soon as possible (usually a month in advance) to ensure we have a day available.
-Must have 10 or less group members attending
-Must have an activity/event detail prior to scheduling a date
-Must provide Boys & Girls Club Staff with an event itinerary (brief summary of what will occur during your visit) with names of group members attending. The itinerary is due at least 1 day prior to your visit.
-If group members decide to return to volunteer, they MUST complete a volunteer training prior to starting additional service hours.

Community Service Hours:

-Individuals that have court order/school violation for community service hours can contact Dennis Poluga or Malina Alexander for details. (304) 292-7510

WVU- Center for Civic Engagement Students:

WVU- Education Dept. Students:

Contact Malina Alexander for volunteer details. Students must also complete the volunteer training prior to starting service hours.

Ed. Logs- Must be handed in to Malina to read and sign. Allow for at least 2 days for your logs to be returned to you.
